Terra is back after upgrades

Posted

The restaurant at 100 State Street in West Columbia closed for 2 weeks at the beginning of July to upgrade the dining area.

“We have updated everything,” said Chef and Owner Mike Davis. We’ve changed the floors, we have new seating, the lighting fixtures were changed. We updated the bar, and the paint. The whole place is updated, but we still have the same delicious food.”

Terra is not the only site of construction. Across the street, the Brookland commercial, retail and residential complex is being built.

Behind Terra is the new West Columbia Interactive Art Park.

Both of those projects will add more parking to West Columbia’s River District, but while construction is going on, there are fewer parking spots.

To help alleviate the parking issues, the City of West Columbia is providing free valet and curbside parking while construction is taking place on State Street.

The City of West Columbia is also running a weekend shuttle service. It runs every 15 minutes from 9 am-5 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from West Columbia City Hall – 200 N. 12th St – to the Riverwalk Amphitheater.

Pick up is in the West Columbia City Hall parking lot.

The service is being provided with Hospitality Funds.
