Why should the taxpayers bail out a privately-owned newspaper?
I subscribed to The State newspaper many years ago. I used to write letters to the editor and they printed them.
About 15 years ago they no longer printed them because they were not politically correct. They blocked my computer so it would not let me go to their website.
That was when I canceled my subscription and subscribed to the Chronicle.
The reason the McClatchy Co. and most of the hate President Trump news media (CNN,CNBC, ABC,CBS,NBC and other newspapers) lost most our confidence because of their lies and saying the people who gave them the fake news are anonymous sources but only their imaginations.
Many polls state that over 90% of their news is against President Trump.
I would like anyone to give us a reason for taxpayers to bail them out.
Let them go bankrupt because that is what you get and deserve for printing fake news for many years.
