VFW donates van to disabled leader

Members of the Batesburg-Leesville VFW Post and state VFW leaders presented former US Army Sgt. John L. (Sully) Sullivan, Jr. and his wife a van equipped for those with disabilities.

Sullivan suffered a massive stroke that left him disabled 9 days after he was elected SC state VFW commander.

Making the presentation were SCVFW State Quartermaster James Fox, Maxine Caughman, Valarie Day-son, Marianne Larson, SCVFW Past State Commander Rodney Burne, Audrey Smith, Kate Brock, Kirk Douglas, Theodora Montague and Jane Fox.
