After a long wait to open its doors again with covid protocols, Village Square Theatre has kicked off its 2021-22 season with Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias.
A favorite of many, this story is inspiring and uplifting, focusing on love, hope, new starts and friendship. Artistic Director Debra Leopard said, “With all we have been through with quarantining, social distancing, and worrying about friends and family, what better way to celebrate life and love than with Steel Magnolias.” Directed by Jeff Sigley
Directed by Jeff Sigley and produced by Linda Brochin, this cast of remarkable actresses pour their souls into these characters that are based on real-life people.
The ensemble includes Tracy Hionis as Truvy, Kari Tilghman as Annelle, Gayle Stewart as Clairee, Debra Kiser as M’Lynn, Hannah Williamson as Shelby, and Kathy Hartzog as Oiser.
