Watch out for our school children

Posted

Lexington District One began classes this week. Whether your student chose the virtual or hybrid schedule, this means buses are on the roads in the mornings and afternoons. Remember they are less than half full so more routes are being run.

Watch for children at bus stops and possible delays due to more parents driving their children to school. Have a safe year.

Red Bank United Methodist has expanded their weekly programs to include an all-day program for ages 4K through 5th grade that choose e-learning or who may need it on e-learning days. Their after school program picks up from Deerfield, Saxe Gotha, Carolina Springs and Red Bank Elementary. They are also adding a “Lunch Bunch” for students ages 2-4 with an option to stay until 2 pm and 4K until 6 pm.

For details, go to preschool@rbumc.com or call director Betsy Stone at (803) 359-0329. For after school care, Children@rbumc.com or call director Ashley Reynolds at (803) 359- 4031.

Just in time for high school students, the Red Bank Starbucks in front of Walmart is open for business.
