Here’s a fun thing for kids on Saturday—the Boys & Girls Clubs at Lexington Church of God have been working hard at creating rockets, and at 11 am Nov. 16 they’ll launch them into the stratosphere. 1 of the more lasting eyesores on the edge of Red Bank is slated to disappear soon, as the former Hardee’s and Shell station on the Lexington side of I-20 will be torn down and replaced with a Quick Trip gas station. “QT” as it is known around the southeast, offers gas, food, coffee, and multiple drink options. That side of the Lexington corridor has changed greatly in the past year, as this new business is in addition to the large Circle K that opened earlier right next door with duplicate offerings.
