Who’s moving up

After six years as assistant principal, Jacob Smith III was promoted to head principal succeeding Principal Luke Clamp.
Smith previously led Brookland-Cayce High School during which graduation rates reportedly rose 6.5% and he introduced mentoring for at-risk students.
Elizabeth Whisennant, assistant principal of Lexington Middle School, will become the new White Knoll Elementary principal succeeding Nicole Mitchell.
