Lexington has a brand new urgent and primary care medical office across from Rush’s. Veritas Health Group opened a Walk-in clinic June 15, and they started receiving patients right away.

Dr. Lachin Hatemi, and COO Madison McCarty cited the need for faster urgent care as the reason for opening here.

Dr. Hatemi was medical director at Med-Care Urgent Care in West Columbia. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky Medical School and did his residency at Buffalo, NY, General Hospital.

Veritas has 3 medical techs, 4 scribes, 2 x-ray techs and 3 medical office assistants to get patients in and out quicker. They are equipped for pediatric to geriatric care.

Veritas accepts major insurance and has payment options if you have no insurance.

They are in the old Doctor’s Care building at 247 Columbia Ave. in Lexington.
