• Christina Bickley of Chapin has been named new Saluda Shoals Foundation director after Dolly Patton retired.

The foundation supports Saluda Shoals Park’s recreational activities, environmental education and cultural opportunities.

• Ryan Panter is the new assistant director of Lexington Technology Center. Panter has taught math and digital media arts at Meadow Glen Middle School. An educator for 16 years, he joined District 1 in 2011.

• Austin Cathcart of Irmo has been named as Agri-Science and Technology teacher at Pelion High. A son of Christopher and Robin Cathcart of Irmo, Cathcart completed his student teaching requirements in 2020 under the guidance of Frank. Stover, long-time instructor at Pelion High who retired this summer.
