US Congressman Joe Wilson visited with Nina Rees, President and CEO of the National Alliance of Public Charter Schools, and received the 2019 Champions for Charters award.
“Charter schools continuously make a difference in the everyday lives of children and families across our country with 3.2 million students participating.
“During National Charter Schools Week, it is critical to recognize that our children deserve to have the opportunity to learn in a variety of ways,” Wilson said.
“I am grateful to Nina and the National Alliance of Public Charter Schools for the honor of being a ‘Champion of Charters’ and look forward to continuing to support educational choice in Congress.”
