A big Red Bank welcome to new White Knoll High School assistant principal Aaron Dellorco, who most recently has been a history teacher at Pelion High School and co-chair of that school’s history department.
Before moving to Lexington in 2019, Dellorco was an administrator and teacher at various schools in Ohio, managing teachers and support staff and implementing a plan to promote school culture and student success. He’ll join White Knoll officially July 1, just in time to help with the back to school adjustments still being worked out for operating safely in the ongoing pandemic.
SPEAKING OF WHITE Knoll High School, remember when purchasing fireworks for the upcoming holiday celebrations that the stand in the Wal-Mart parking lot is usually a fundraiser for the WKHS Marching Pride; as a nonprofit that means that their sales are tax free, too.
A group from South Lake Baptist Church will head to West Virginia from July 11 to 18 for a scheduled Mission Trip. Keep them in your prayer as they travel and minister there. The church will hold a commissioning prayer for the team during the July 5 service. South Lake Baptist is now holding a 10 am service every Sunday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS week to David Hines, Heather Carter, Bob Koch, Scott Strickland, Emerson Hibbs, Carin Seward, Katie Dattilio, Hannah Turner, Katheryn Kyzer, Cletus Brian Estep, Shelia Harsey, Johnnie Childers, Callum Brewer, Ava Boney, Joshua Fox, Cathy Gates, Darry Waits, and June Kinzie.
